This article aims at analysis of the contemporary phase of development of international relations theory. Particularly, it examines discussions, on the one hand, between neo-realism, neo-liberalism and globalism and, on the other, – between these traditional IRT paradigms and post-positivism. The research agenda which will be a subject of debates between various International Relations schools in the foreseeable future is outlined.
