Abstract
The authors - a historian and an economist - try to outline the general results, the present condition, and the observable future of the globalization and internationalization processes. They demonstrate the obvious crisis of the whole series of optimistic one-colored scenarios of future world construction (of the «end of history» type). Special attention is given to the «new interventionism» concept, to the experience of its having been applied in the Balkans. The conclusion is argumented that a polycentric system of relations, to replace the bipolar world, is forthcoming, which is definitely not going to distinguish between those «elder» and «younger», those «big» and «small».
