Abstract

The subject of the research in the article is specificity of the present-time challenges in the sphere related to collective acts of aggression and violence (i.e. to political conflict in its most dangerous form); their possible consequences and ways of neutralization are being investigated. On having analyzed the scope of potential political conflicts in the epoch of the informational- communicative revolution, the author comes to the conclusion that under the present conditions, the threats to the security of the state, society and individual have in fact an all-embracing and permanent character. As is demonstrated in the article, it is the most technologically developed nations that find themselves in the most vulnerable position in the post-industrial epoch. According to the author's judgment, the nature of the challenges (informational, net-integrational, cybernetic ones) that are proper to the contemporary world, makes no allowance for traditional, linear approaches to the security questions.
