Abstract

This is a pioneer work in the field of studying interconnected dimensional notions. On the basis of detailed analysis of texts from the official sites of RF subjects, the author elaborates methods of studying the images of regions and of other geographical objects, as elements of integral systems of spatial ideas, actual in a definite context. The approach offered by the author, allows to reveal properties attributed to regions and geographical objects adequate to them (towns, countries etc.) and to make generalized conclusions as to what are the visions of the role of the respective objects, that dominate within the framework of this or that cultural tradition.
