Abstract
The two books issued by the «Ves’ Mir» publishing house and reviewed here - «Great Britain. Epoch of Reforms», by a group of specialists, and «Modernization of Great Britain’s Parties System», a monograph by Al.A.Gromyko, - launch the vast-scale research project of the Institute of Europe, the purpose of which is to elucidate the main trends in the development of European countries of the late 20th to early 21st centuries.
